Academic Clubs

Academic clubs are student-led clubs that explore specific medical fields in greater depth. For instance, a gynecology club focuses on topics related to gynecology—subjects that might not even be mentioned in standard lectures or practical classes. While students deliver the presentations, a faculty member representing the specialty is also present to assist the presenter. Participating in these groups is an excellent way to gain a closer look at a specific field and begin preparing for residency. In some groups, it is also possible to earn academic credits. Be sure to ask the group leaders for more information.
